Once you get over the intial shock of the darkness behind this piece, you will realize that it isn't necessarily a dark piece at all. In fact, it is a dual piece and can be used for any purposes of magic that you want to use it for. From whom we got this piece merely went about obtaining the power in a murderous way. We don't condone those types of behaviors, but I want to stress the fact that how the power is acquired and used has NOTHING to do with the actual power itself. One could potentially use white power will malicious intent. That makes the person bad, not the white magic. This magic, like I've said is a dual magic. In other words it's just pure, neutral magic. It bears no signs of good or evil. It's up to the use how it will be used.
In the 1800's there existed a band of murderers that had a very systematic way of gaining victims to sacrifice to the Great Mother Goddess, Kali. They would gain the trust of traders and merchants in their area by convincing that travel was safer numbers. Sometime during their trip, the band of murderers, called the Thuggees, would ambush the rest of the travelers. Since the blood was considered precious, because it was eventually drank by Kali, it was prohibited to kill by bloodshed. Rather the group of Thuggees would use what is called a Rumal. It is a strong cloth noose. They'd wrap it around the victims neck and strangle them to death.
Once dead, the body of the victim would be immediately sacrificed to Kali. Kali would take the body back to her realm, where she would feast on it and drink the blood. Using an ancient form of alchemy, she would turn the blood of the hapless victims into extremely potent and concentrated magical powers. She would then distribute the powers among those involved with the sacrifice. Thus, the person who had committed more murderers made more sacrifices. Whomever made more sacrifices had more power bestowed upon them, naturally. Thus, whoever was a more ruthless and habitual power would gain more power than the others. I would have never made a good Thuggee, simply because I don't agree with killing people; but it's no different than Illuminati or Mayan human sacrifice. It was just done in a different manner.
This piece comes from a modern day Thuggee who has repented of his ways and no longer wishes to be associated with the crimes he has committed. He has made over several hundred human sacrifices, so the power in his item is extremely powerful. This power has very many facets to it as Kali is the triple goddess of creation, preservation, and destruction. Thus, this piece holds a triple threat of powers. First it allows you to curtail a brand of magic that is specifically yours. The energy that is in this piece will allow you create what ever power or magic that you decide you want to create. It will preserve all the magic that you've created into this piece. In fact, there are some powers (I don't know them all) left over from the piece from when the original Thuggee had it before. Finally, this piece will allow you to destroy all powers in your immediate jurisdiction. What does this mean? Basically this will give you the advantage over all that are near you, making you the supreme being because you can vanquish there powers, leaving them helpless and without any powers at all.
This piece is very good for designing and maintaining your own form of alchemy. This energy is literally like playdough that you can mold and shape to fit anything kind of magic you want it to. The original Thuggee just warns to be careful because that kind of power can get out of control. This is why we have placed a protection spell in the piece that will protect you from any dark forces and will keep you level headed and effectual when designing the magic you want to practice.
