The most famous of the English witch trials came in the year 1612. Twelve people from around the Pendle Hill area in Lancashire were tried with the murders of ten people by the use of witchcraft. They came to be known as the Pendle Witches. One of them died in prison and out of the other eleven, only one was found innocent. The other ten were sentenced to execution by hanging. It was by far, the most documented witch trials in England from history. Details of the trials were even written into both fiction and non-fition writings, but I can assure you that the pieces that we are offering are very non-ficiton.
I cannot attest to whether or not the witches that were tried actually murdered someone or not. I would tend to think that they did not, given the fact that the govenrment of the time used witchcraft as a means to frame otherwise innocent people. Although, I supposed anything is possible. However, if you take into account the powers that are in these four piece, I doubt that they would be used to murder anybody any time soon. In fact, I can say the opposite, because the powers, at least the powers that were put into this piece, are of pure white light. See, people have this negative perception of witchcraft. This is because the powers of witchcraft threatened both political and religious leaders in these times, given the fact that the powers invoked by the craft has a certain freeing effect on an individual. This would diminish the rulers' control and this is what they didn't want. How else were they to enjoy their lives of luxury without peasants to do all their hard work and cruel biddings? It kind of sounds the same as today's government, no?
Either way, the twelve that were slated to be tried, even the one who got off as innocent and the one that died in prison, were under the direction of four immortal witches. They were female and the Pendle Witches called them the First Four. The reason there are four is because there used to be three of them. They were the perfect trifecta of power. However, over time one of them got too powerful and had to split into two. These two became identical twins; therefore there are now four. The First Four were entities that came to them, after being summoned by the Pendle Witches, because they wanted to learn the ways of witchcraft in order to free their bodies of mortal imprisonment. The Pendles were very secretive about what they were taught by these four immortal sisters, so there had to be a rat within the circle of their coven. I'm assuming this is the one that got of scot-free; but there hasn't been made public any record of who the informant was. Maybe it was the one that died in prison and they arranged to had them killed. Crooked minds work in crooked ways.
The First Four were obviously never captured and tried and I doubt they ever will be. They are formless entities, able to come into and out of physical form at the own choosing. This is how they came to teach the Pendle Witches, by taking their mortal form. Two of them are twins and the other two are not. In theis spiritual form, these witches have been around since the beginning of time, since day one of the creation. We are not sure where these witches have come from, as they are not privvy to talking about it. We assume they are Solar Withces, but we can only speculate. This is because their magic is so powerful and hits with sudden impact. They have been traveling the world together since the very first day of its creation. The reason why they are here, according to them, is to spread enlightenment and magic, because these are the ways of the universe outside of our own existence. This is another reason we think they are solar witches, because they speak as if this is where they have come from.
These four pins each represent one of the four solar witches. I will tell you that the pin on one of the twin witches pin is broken, but that is okay, because it is not the pin that is important. The power comes from the fact that the First Four are summoned by the powers that have been attached to each picture.
