This piece was created after it was hung around the neck of the Virgin Mary in Dugloe at the Kerrytown shrine in Donegal.
As the story is told, fourteen people witnessed crosses that formed in the sky on a fateful day in September of 2009. Following the crosses in the sky, the statue of the virgin began to weep. The shrine had already been made famous after producing a religious apparition nearly seventy years ago. This new sign is believed to be a sign from God that his presence is still with the people of Kerrytown.
