The Tel el Amarna Tablets are a set of cuneiform-inscribed tablets found in 1887. Found in Egypt at Tel el Amarna, the tablets give historical evidence to a period of time when the capital of Egypt was moved to a city called Akhetaten, built by Pharaoh Akhenaten.
