This piece contains a bit of necromantic magic. It holds a secret spell that we found while working with an item that allowed us to see the secrets that were hidden in the Necronomicon. This spell allows you to captures what are called trace souls. Trace souls are really just tiny, tiny slivers of other people's or entities' souls that you capture. They are then planted into magical orbs that regrow another whole version of that same soul. The orbs on this necklace all hold this magic. When using this piece you call forth a spirit. When you do, a small piece of their soul will remain in the orb and a new spirit will be grown. This new spirit will have the same knowledge, powers, magic, personality, etc. of the old spirit. In other words, it is like a spiritual clone. You can either recreate the spirits of lost loved ones to carry them with you or you can recreate the spirits of powerful people who will grant you magic. Or, you could recreate the spirits of vampires, djinn, or other entities whose magic you will be able to use.
