The Nakshatras are 27 consetllations in the sky,measuring 13 degrees each. The nakshatra's are the zodiac divided into 27 NaKSHATRA zones. The reason for this is because the moon travels every day,every night,to a new state,a new place (waning,waxing,new,and full) and after 27 or 28 days it will return to it's original position.
In China the nakshatrs's are called Mansions. In Arabia they are called Houses. In the West,nakshatra's were used and associated with magic but were later forgotten due to the oppression of the Catholic church.
Giordano Bruno understood the Nakshatras. He was the last man to develope a complex system of training the mind according to the Nakshatras and the Drekkanas during the Renaissance.
Unfortunately he was burnt at the stake for Heresy in 1600. This was due to the fact that the Catholic church wanted complete control of the hearts and minds of it's subjects and since nakshatras are lunar based and associated with magic and the night,the church would have none of it. This is why it was a lost magic to the West. This magic still continued to flourish uninterruptd in India to the present day.
