This piece comes from Chan a very nice lady who comes from 4 generations of empowering women. These mystical women enchant, spell and place mystical power into pieces. They began doing this more than 60 years ago for a relative who was having a hard time. She was overweight and in Mainland China that is unheard of but more tragically she couldn’t find clothes. This relative was only a size 12. In making her a weight-loss piece they began making other pieces to help other people. Most are very inexpensive and a few much more money if the customer wanted precious metals or stones. These pieces were mostly made to be affordable for everyone. The piece you are looking at was made so that you can really hear what your lover is saying, what they want or what they can’t say but want to. As with most of Chan’s pieces, this also casts a mystical glow to the face easing up the appearance of flaws and wrinkles.
