I was testing a piece that was given to me by a Voodoo Witch that I know named Sarai. She knows the business that I'm in and she gave me this piece because she knew it would lead me to the Relic of the Serpent. So I began using the piece and was taken to an old estate somewhere in the South I'm not really sure. I knocked on the door and was greeted by a Voodoo Obeah, a portly woman with a fierce demeanor. I explained that I sent by Sarai. She immediately let me in.

I was led through the house and down a flight of stairs to a medium-sized closet. On the inside of the there were many masks of differing sizes. They were all black with white cross-stitched eyes. I asked the obeah what this meant and she told me that these were the faces of the spirits and the messengers that live on the other side. The wall was splattered with blood that was clearly from some type of sacrifice that was offered. Whether this was human or otherwise, I am not entirely sure and I didn't dare ask. The Obeah was very intimidating, even for her statue and I could tell she was a woman of very little words.

She wasted no time, but lit up a cigar and began blowing the smoke in my direction. The cigar was extremely potent and I choked from inhaling it. My eyes were pressed close for just a second, but when I opened them back up there was nothing but darkness. The Obeah was no longer there. I could feel warm, sticky breah on the back of my neck that made my hair stand on end. Then, I felt the flicker of a tongue where the breath had just been. A growling voice mumbled, "A tasty one, this one." At this I saw the whites of two eyes maybe 6 feet in front of me. A match was lit and saw a very dark and hagard looking face. The smell was repudiating like wrotted flesh.

"Why have you come here mortal?"

"I was sent by Sarai." I replied. Sarai is a very powerful Voodoo witch that I had met in Mississippi who has a strong ties to Obatala. I had mentioned her above, but here is some more detail. She is an immortal and was concubine to Obatala at one point in time when he took mortal form here on Earth. She bore his bloodline. Either way, when I spoke her name the entity introduced himself to me as Papa Legba, which I guess I should have known because he is the god of crossroads. He was keen on hearing my request whic was only to acquire the bones of the serpent. The trickster still tried to make me pay with a portion of my soul, but I told him that I should report to Sarai and that quickly fixed up anything.

As I watched the darkness quickly change to different scenery. I'm not really sure what I was making out, but colors flew past me. I was seeing some type of serpent people and they were whispering an ancient change. I watched as Legba reached into the whirlwhind of existence and snatch up a serpent, crushing it with his bear hands. "A serpent of knowledge is what you have come for, so that is what you shall receive," Legba grumpled at me. He put some of the bones in this relic and handed it to me. He blew in my face with his putrid breath and I choked again, but when I opened my eyes I was back in the basement with the Obeah standing by my side.

I had the relic in my hand. I took it back to Deedee and we tested it. This piece is extremely powerful. It holds one of the Voodoo Serpents of knowledge who are the familiars of Obatala himself. They hold all knowledge of Voodoo magic and when you are using this piece you can use this serpent, because his spirit is attached to this piece. All you have to do is meditate with the relic, which contains the real bones of a serpent. Tell the serpent what magic you want on what spell you want to be cast and the serpent will do it for you-- on behalf of Obatala who is the supreme deity of Voodoo magic.
