Medusa may have been ugly, but she wasn't dumb. Likewise, she may have been cursed but that doesn't mean that she wasn't powerful. When you think about Medusa you almost think of her synonymous snakes for hair. This was designed to be a curse, but she turned it into a token of power. How did she do this? She turned the serpents that were given to her for hair into serpents of knowledge. She did this with magic that was given to her by Hades from the Underworld. I’m not sure what type of magic it was, but it had to be something shadowy and dark. Either way, Medusa was able to transpire this magic into something positive. As state above, she transformed her serpents into serpents of knowledge, with each one revealing to her a secret of the universe.
Using the magic that was presented to her from Hades she called out to unwitting sailors and lured them to their death. She collected their sou. For each soul, she collected she’d “sprout” another serpent. This serpent would thereby present her with yet another secret of the universe. These secrets were different forms of magic such as control of the cosmos, mind control, transcendence, manifestation, wealth, and other deeper secrets about creation and about the power and energy force that gives us all life. This is how she was able to turn something negative into something. Even to this day, Medusa is one of the most knowledgeable creatures to exist. It can sing songs that make men see all that they desire. She can appear however she wants. We are talking about manifesting outcomes from celestial energies. She is very powerful.
