Sometimes there needs to be that necessary evil from which comes the good. Originally, the powers in this piece were as sinister as the people that created it. Well, I should say them. I have a few of these pieces that were secured by somebody that I stay in close cahoots with. I'm not sure if any of you are familiar with Pennsylvania, but there is an underground vampire lodge in Harrisburg, where vampires meet up to have blood letting and blood taking rituals on a semi-monthly basis. It's kind of the Lions' Club for vampires, except nobody knows about and they have rituals and drink blood. Okay, so that was a bad comparison, but you understand what I am getting you!! Either way, I once was doing an investigation into one of these lodge meetings and I forgot that vampires have a seriously strong sense of smell. I thought that covering myself in vampire blood would suffice in camouflaging myself enough to attend the meeting. Turns out I was wrong. My cover was blown and I was almost a midnight snack. However, one particular vampire came to my rescue and got me out of the bad situation before it became something worse than it ever should have been. His name was Antioch. Naturally, he is originally from Greece and has a really thick accent, which I find to be so sexy that when I hear him talk I can't even think straight. Either way, I stay in contact with him and sometimes he brings me little goodies, which is how I got these pieces.
These pieces are originals that were made by the Cult of Bathory. Never heard of the Cult ofBathory? I can't say that I'm so surprised. Nobody really knows about the Cult of Bathory. If you're thinking that it is a group of hard up vampires, you are wrong. That's what I thought at first as well, so don't feel bad. Rather, much to my surprise it is a group of humans that are devoted to Elizabeth Bathory. They are top ranking officials, politicians, dignitaries and social darlings. I can't even be sure whose included in their group, because I wasn't at any of their rituals myself. Like I said before, these items were given to me by Antioch, who sat down and fully explained how they were made, but offered no insight as to who practiced the ritual that he was in observance of.
It seems that this group of the social elite is so devoted and fascinated by Elizabeth Bathoryand her sanguine powers that they resurrect her four times a year. Once on the Spring and Autumn Equinoxes and once on the Summer and Winter solstices. There has just always been something magical about these days that allow it to be much easier to attract the attention of spirits, so I'm guessing this is why they chose these days. How they resurrect Bathory is a little bit disturbing, but Bathory was disturbing herself. These people, in private, pay large sums of money to hospitals and blood banks for blood. They fill a rather large container with the blood. In the meantime, the have designated officers in charge of abducting the "nobodies" of society and wrangling them up in a cage. They leave these people locked up for days without food or water in a deliberate attempt to make them weak so they aren't too much of a challenge. They even sometimes intentionally injure their victims to weaken their physical state-of-being.
Meanwhile the pool of blood and the victims are transported to the Bohemian Grove. The elite that take part in this ritual show up. They paint themselves in some of the blood that has been pooled in the large pool that I told you about earlier. It is taken to a place in the woods where an altar is built with over 1,000 red flamed candles. When they are done painting themselves with the blood, they dress up in attire that represents how a vampire should appear to them. Mostly it is Victorian Era gowns and get-ups. Then the weakened victims are released into the woods. The captors then run through the woods finding the humans they are chasing inflicting bite wounds all over their bodies, in a representation of what they think vampires would do while on the hunt for their human prey. They call this the Vampire Games. It can sometimes take up to a week until they find each prisoner. Once each prisoner is accounted for, they then gather the now bitten up captives and sacrifice them on the makeshift altar. The fresh blood is added into the pool with the older blood.
The participants then all strip naked of their vampire garb and begin having sex with one another while saying a chant to awaken Bathory. Some of them wear plague masks, some of them masquerade masks. It's like a grand ball of intercourse out in the middle of the woods. They continue to perform their sex rituals while chanting their Bathory chants. As they are doing this, Bathory will be resurrected from the pool of blood, levitating over them all. Her blood drips from her naked body and the participants go mad trying to lap what little bit of the Bathoryblood they can from the air. It sounds insane to me if you ask me. Bathory then drinks blood from the pool, enchanting it with all of her powers. She is then returned to her bloody grave portal after which there is a bit of blood left over. Items are then placed in her blood, while the blood is left to evaporate and congeal. The pieces are then cleaned, but they hold all the sanguine powers of Elizabeth Bathory. I'm talking about any sanguine power you could have ever imagined is in the pieces that they make from the left over blood.
We got a few of the pieces that were made by this process. We have tested them and we conclude that there are no negative connotations to this piece at all, whatsoever. It has been enchanted with series of protection charms just in case, so you can be doubly. These pieces will afford you all the sanguine abilities of Elizabeth Bathory, the Blood Countess. Additionally, this piece will allow you to light a candle and peer into a mirror at night. What you will see is glimpses of the Blood Countess, during which you will be able to communicate with her and she will answer any of your questions concerning her powers, existence, or just general questions. After a while of practicing the mirror conjuring, she may even decide to make you more powerful if you are devoted to her magic!!
