The truth behind the white horse is that it is actually a messenger into the afterlife. In his immortal form the horse appears as smokey white with glowing green eyes. This is how he appears to you when he is summoned using this piece.
In order to use this piece you will have to meditate with it. You will have to leave your body in your astral form. Then, you can ride your horse into whatever realm of the afterlife that you choose to visit. You can visit separate realms of afterlife where different types of souls are kept. You can visit Heaven if you choose. You can visit another type of afterlife if that is what you believe in. It simply depends on where you want to go. You will have to convey this to the white horse through your telepathic connection with it, because this how you will communicate with your horse.
