Darby Library ---

The oldest public library was formed in 1743 by a group of local Quakers who felt a lending library was essential for their growing community. The Darby library building was built in 1872 with funds raised by members and friends.

The building resembles a church; it is a noted haunted place. Many people who spend time at the library have witnessed books inexplicably falling off the shelves. Others have done research there have felt someone come up behind them and tap them on the shoulder. When they turned around, no one is there.

The area where the research room is, connects to what was once the living quarters of the librarian. It is now a storage area. The theories about the identity of the ghost are that it may be one of the resident librarians still watching over the place or it could be a spirit that was attached to the land that was there before the library was built and is making its presence known.

There have been many visitors who have been scared out of the library due to the eery feeling that someone was watching them. The attributing movement of books has also been an attesting factor to the haunting.

We took a trip to Darby after getting notice that there were 2 specific books that kept being moved and they were left open to certain pages.

Each book continuously was found by the librarian opened to the same page. One book showcased a poem about a Phoenix, and the other was open to a list of ingredients.

After visiting and witnessing the books fly overhead, we got to see the pages up close. Deedee was able to see and feel that the ingredients would infuse together to empower the divinity of the Phoenix when the concoction was put together.

the phoenix is associated with resurrection, immortality, triumph over adversity, and that which rises out of the ashes. Thus it became a favorite symbol on early Christian tombstones.

In chapters 25-26 of his letter to the Corinthians, St. Clement, Bishop of Rome, upheld the legendary phoenix as an evidence of Christ's ability to accomplish the resurrection of the faithful. He quotes, "Thou shalt raise up this flesh of mine, which has suffered all these things."

In numerous ways, the phoenix was found to be a symbol of Christ. In most countries, it is believed that only one phoenix lived at a time. It was born from itself without following the natural laws of reproduction. During the Middle Ages, it was believed to rise from the dead after three days.

The Phoenix is symbolic of rebirth, hope, purity, chastity, marriage, faith, constancy, summer, eternity, immortality, and light.

We remedied the list of ingredients and purified the acknowledgment of the Phoenix.

The spell was majestic and integrated by a witch that lives in the Poconos. She revealed this portrayal of information of the books information was brought to the attention of people to fortify them with a new born sense and revitalization of life.

Everyone was just freaked out by the books moving that they never really paid attention to the pages once the books fell; the librarian was the only one to notice that the books always ended up on the same pages.

The magic of the powers are believed to have been shown from the original librarian's ghost.

As its death approached, the phoenix fashioned a nest of aromatic boughs and spices, set it on fire, and was consumed in the flames. From the pyre miraculously sprang a new phoenix, which, after embalming its predecessor's ashes in an egg of myrrh, flew with the ashes to the City of the Sun, in Egypt, where it deposited them on the altar in the temple of the Egyptian god of the sun. The phoenix was then associated with immortality and the allegory of resurrection and life after death.

A person who went really down in his/her life and managed to resurrect from their near "death" experience is someone that is compared to a phoenix. When the witch prepared the ingredients she felt a surge of power run through her --- she enlisted this power into the piece that you see.

This is filled with the strength and re-birth of the enchanted magic that correlated from the notations on the pages of the books. The first librarian has been re-born into the life of each librarian since. The connection was realized after doing research into the past few librarians and noting their track to taking over the position.

When you bond with this piece, your life will be enriched with new forecasting of magic and religious powers.

The Phoenix will rise again within you and bring its embrace of revitalization, rejuvenation and blessings of a new start and chance to live with a new found array of hope and prosperity to find yourself in the occult world!
