Bursts of the Mermaid
A few weeks ago, I was doing some shopping when I ran into a customer of ours that I hadn't seen for awhile. We caught up over coffee, which generated her telling me an experience she had during a visit to the Great Barrier Reef. The Great Barrier is a large structure in the Coral Sea made up of entirely living organisms. In fact, is the largest of such structures in the entire world. It is made up of over 2900 Reefs, consists of 900 islands, and spans just over 1600 miles. The series of islands and natural structures are off the coast of Queensland, Australia and the place is a hit with scuba divers, generating over $1 Billion in revenue annually.
I will call the customer "Shannon" for sake of keeping her identity personal. As Shannon and I caught up, she explained to me how she went to the Great Reef for vacation a while back. She was excited at the prospect of being able to swim with the aquatic wildlife, as she is a great nature lover. However, she said the most exciting aspect came not from being able to swim with the countless types and number of fish in the Coral. Rather, Shannon informed me, the most exciting aspect of her trip was when she experience something supernatural. These always seem to be the most invigorating of experiences. We talked for a while over coffee and then she invited me back to her place to place for the full experience of it all.
While scuba diving among coral reefs and other wildlife, Shannon began to notice something shimmering from a glint of sun shooting down from space. It sparkled and reflected. At first glance, Shannon thought that what she was seeing was a form of coral. She swam over to the place where she saw it coming from. When she neared the spot, she realized that what caught her eye wasn't a coral formation at all. It was a necklace that you see depicted on the listing. It is an intricate work of art depicting a lighthouse and a sailboat. There are other etchings as well and they are beautifully accented by a stone that provides the a backdrop of the sea. She had nowhere to go with the necklace and she wasn't going to leave it there, so she fastened around her neck.
She said the moment she fastened the necklace a form of energy washed over her entire body. Even though she was already in the water, she could feel sparks of energy swimming through her soul. This is when the sea came to life. I mean, it was already beautiful, but this is when the coral opened up and she was able to enter a realm of Mermaids that exists on the other side of the coral in a reflected alternate reality. The mermaids filled the ocean in numbers that were as plentiful as minnows in a school. She could hear them singing the songs of the ocean and saw them glittering with all the energies and powers of the sea. The realm she swam through was a powerful channel of magical current and sustenance on which the mermaids thrive.
As she explored the new realm with her newly found power, she was able to use it to come into contact with a mermaid oracle. The Oracle blessed her relic and sent her on her way. Shannon kept the piece for herself for a while, but she made mention that she was ready to part ways, as he got her use out of this piece. She bestowed the piece upon me and I brought it back to headquarters for a complete testing.
