These are all lady Mercury dimes, pure silver and made during the depression. The years will vary and keep in mind that coin prices are going up. What is unique about these is that they were gathered by a woman named Ms. Doughty. Yes I knew her. She was my grandmother on my fathers side. She was also known as a kind and good person. I will give you all a little history that you can look up. During the depression my grandparents owned a few banks. They were the Pitman, NJ Savings and Loan banks. During the depression they were one of the only ones that did not go out of business. Back in those days people that had even just a little money were told to keep it and not help anyone else. My grandparents did not believe in that. In fact no one in that town went with out food or anything. My grandparents saw to it that they had what they needed even at Christmas the kids of the town had toys. My fathers sister who is also an heir is still alive and has servants just like the very rich did back in the day. They treat her like a queen and she is very good to them. They have been with her all her adult life. This is how much money they have. I could tell you about my father but I won't get into all of that as I want to keep this short. Anyway my grandmother a well known person due to her wealth and owning banks along with my grandfather was not well known as a witch. This is something she wanted to keep quiet. In that town it was very religious and mostly Methodist people with one Catholic church. She wanted people to prosper and not worry. She knew if they were well off so would the bank. Were else would people put money? So what she did was make with her natural given supernatural powers these dimes. These were to bring wealth to the people of the town so that they would be happy. Anyone that ever got one never, ever gave them up,not even to buy bread or milk. It seemed that they always had what they needed once they were given out. These are all I have left of them. I had mine made into a necklace but all you need to do is own one. You may look the history of what I tell you up. My family is very well known with my brother having a baseball field dedicated to him and his name on it. To this day people know my father and my grandparents. Most likely you can get archives on the internet. There is a source that carries all newspapers for people to look stuff up.
