Sometimes people aren't necessarily evil, they just happen to get be dark and shadowy. People don't understand because they live on Earth and all they ever know is what is supposed to light. Examples of these are the Grim Reaper, the Angel of Death, and Santa Muerte. While not exactly indicative of evil, they are darker entities and thus a lot of times are automatically, and incorrectly associated with negativity. Such is the case with a rare Cherokee deity called Lady Navrae. She is the witch daughter of night and shadows, made to practice her witchcraft at night, rather than the day. The reason she was forced to do so is because her witchcraft powrs, dual in nature, are so much stronger than everyone else's that the gods did not want the other witches to become jealous of her powers and try to seek revenge. Thus, she practices her magic at night, when she comes out out hiding with flowing golden hair and green eyes. She thought to be a snake deity and, as such, is often found near rivers and lakes.
