This Ring is a present day manifestation of an ancient prize that was once the subject of a raging war that was fought between two alliances of immortal beings. While the ring is newer, the power that it holds is ancient and is called the Amrita. In Earth's ancient days, a number of different types of immortals and gods forged two alliances-- the Devas and the Asuras. The word deva originally meant shining ones and had a bright, holy connotation to it. They were the "good gods." Then there were the Asura. These gods were portrayed as evil, power-seeking gods who celebrated sinful ways and materialism. In human artwork the Devas have been depicted more humanistic in form while The Asuras have always been depicted as snake-like demon creatures.
It came to pass that the Devas lost their precious Amrita, the nectar of their immortality and magical essence and being. It was what created the Devas; the key to their very existence. Without it they could not have survived as a race. The Devas knew that they were not strong enough to retrieve it themselves in the mortal realms of Earth, where the other set of gods, the Asuras, resided. Reluctantly, the Devas formed an alliance with the Asuras in finding the Amrita with a promise that the coveted source of celestial and ethereal life would be shared. However, when it was found the Asura clan rushed into claim the prize. The Devas appealed to the chief God of all to explain what had happened and in an act of trickery the chief god won most of the Amrita life source back for the Devas. The recovered Amrita was enough to sustain their existence and although a terrible war broke out to recover the remaining Amrita, it was never recovered by either party.
Fast forward ions and ions and ions later, here is a ring that contains the remaining Amrita. We obtained this piece from a Middle-Eastern wizard named Raj. I can't really go into much more detail other than to say he is the offspring of a messed up Deva/Asuras love connection that is messed up kind of like Romeo and Juliet. Thus, Raj is neither good nor evil. He is neutral because he is both. He is filled with dual light and has hidden the existence of the remainder of the Amrita for himself for thousands of years. For some reason he is done with it... something about the balance of good and evil is no longer in his hands. He kind of speaks in an ancient form of Hindi, so I don't really know for sure. What I do know is I have this piece and hold INCREDIBLE POWER!!
