This item was made by a Zen sorcerer, who has spent his entire life studying the nature of good vs. evil-- or more appropriately light vs. dark. You can't always assume that dark is inherently evil, because there are always multiple perspectives on the matter. Anyway, he is a older sorcerer who is not quite an immortal but is on the brink of breaking through. His magic is powerful and realizes the need to put everything into a state of duality so that way it can encompass all things, not just one or the other. That is why he made this piece.
This piece works kind of like a charging box. Instead of charging or giving your items power, what it does do is makes all powers dual. Most commonly this piece has been used to make dark items of dual power so that way whomever is using the magic will be protected by those white light aspects that accompany white magic. However, as stated before, this can also give a darker aspect to those items of white light power. This would be necessary if you have a white light item and you are limited in the ways that you can use it because it's white light.
What you do to use this piece is place your item inside of the box. I understand that this box is small and not all items will fit into it. Chains, bracelets, and small to medium rings will. That's why if your item is to big, you can intertwine your item with the chain from this one. The powers will snake around your item and the powers of duality will eventually overcome it. This will make your piece of unlimited power and allow you to use it in any way that you see fit, whether it is in a dark or light way. It will also amplify the power in your piece by 10x.
You must keep your item either in this box or entwined in the chain for a period of no less than 24 hours for the full transformation to take place.
