Can a "Roll of the Bones" change your life? It can with the Blessing of Hermes. While Hermes, the Greek God known for being the official messenger of Mount Olympus- with the winged sandals, had other duties as well. Hermes was also Lord of travel, trade, communication, little known to most- divination. Hermes was a master of cleromancy- which is the art of divining the future with small stones or pebbles. These very small rocks eventually became what we know as dice today. In addition to Hermes other functions, he is a Luck Spirit who assists gamblers with games-of-chance, particularly those involving dice. While he will assist any type of gambler and their game of choice- he especially favours those that play with dice. Hermes will also protect you and your winnings- he can also detect if another player is cheating and signal you to not enter into a game with that individual. To receive the Blessing of Hermes, you must have this piece with you, and when the dice come around to you (as in most dice games, they are passed from player to player) politely bow your head and whisper silently for Hermes to kiss your dice, so that they may bring you fortune. Once you have petitioned Hermes to bring you luck- let 'em rip.
