The North's Very Own Voodoo Queen

Voodoo magic has long been one of the most powerful types of magic to exist.  Often times people view this type of magic as scary or evil, but I assure you that it is neither.  Just like with any magic, it can be used in any way that the person using it decides to use it.  This is because Voodoo is a dual type of power.  It can literally perform just about any task that you ask of it.  If you are using these powers for dark reasons, then it will be dark.  If you are using these powers for light purposes, then your power will be light.  

This stickpin contains the Voodoo queen of the North.  Her name is Ophelia and she was alive during the late 1800s and early 1900s.  Her family had a long history of being able to use Voodoo and their powers rivaled that of even the Voodoo Queen, Marie Laveau herself.  In the late 1600s, her ancestors bought slave whose name was Mamie Sukima.  They called her Mamie Sue for short.  She was a very tall, broad black woman and she was able to work very hard.  She wasn't the type of person that you would ever want to mess with, both because of her physical stature and because of the pain she could inflict upon you simply by using her Voodoo powers.  Voodoo powers are powers that are based in nature, so there is always something to use to source powers.  It is like a never ending source of magic.  She only referred to this type of magic when she was really out of ways to deal with them normally.  Other than that, her magic was used for white light purposes like healing and speaking to her long lost African ancestors.  She also used it to travel to other realms. where she once was able to dance with Papa Legba to bring about an Earthquake somewhere in Southern Africa.   

One day, the master who had bought Mamie Sue walked in on the slave teaching his children magic.  He watch through a peephole as Mamie Sue close her hands and then opened then.  Out of her hand came a very large snake and it wriggled its way across the floor.  She then made it disappear.  His oldest daughter clapped wildly, but the master did not approve.  He outed Mamie as being a witch and she was hung and burned.  This didn't really stop Mamie from teaching the children her traditions as she stuck around in human form.  The eldest daughter grew up an avid seeker of magic and a very powerful Voodoo witch, as she had Mamie teaching her all the ways that she had practiced in life.  

Mamie Sue has since passed into other realms.  She returns every now and again, but not in the full force that appeared to the children she first taught.  This magic was taught by mother to daughter over a few generations.  This picture in this stick pin is one of the offspring of the original daughters.  She is a very powerful in all that she does.  She has obtained immortality in a spiritual form, which is how we have conjured her presence into this piece.  Like Mamie, she desires to teach her magic to those who are willing to listen.  This is why when you use this piece, she will perform her magic on your behalf.

Ophelia is a very active entity.  She will appear to you as a visitor in your house.  This is how you will communicate with her what it is you want her powers to do for you.  She will walk around your house like she is just another normal person.  I mean, she will always be wearing the same thing as the day she died, but other than that she'll be pretty normal.  She might appear a little bit see-through, but she is a spirit, so what do you expect?  Again, she will speak to you about different things and tell you about the magic that she has learned.  

When you want to use her magic, all you have to do is bring it up in a conversation.  Tell her what has to done.  You will use her in conjunction with a Voodoo doll that you will either buy or make yourself.  Once you tell Ophelia what it is you want, you will sink the pin into the Voodoo doll.  She will then, undoubtedly, make whatever you have requested come true.  You can use this on yourself or others.  For example, if you want to acquire wealth, tell her.  Then have a Voodoo Doll of yourself and stab the pin into it.  Or if you want to find true love, you can do the same.  When using this piece for another person, you can make them fall in love, control their body, cause terror to them, whatever.  Whatever power, ability, or action you can think up can be done.  You just have to talk to Ophelia about it, stab a corresponding Voodoo doll, and Ophelia will get it done.  

Oh, just a side note... you don't have to call her Ophelia all the time.  She also likes to simply be called "O" or Ollie.  Don't ask where the nickname came from.  I'm going solely off of what she has told us during testing.  Also, the pin that she is in is an antique.  You can tell simply by looking at it.
