It was an investigation that we went on in Central New Jersey after catching wind that there was a local chapter of an underground club called the Waypoint Club. The Waypoint Club isn't the Illuminati or anything like that, but they have been known to have some seriously magical pieces in the past. The club itself was established in the 1800s as a gentlemen's club, but not the modern type that typically signifies that you are walking into a boobfest. It is just that only gentlemen could join the ranks of the club. Makes sense, right?
Also, the people of the Waypoint club aren't these mysterious figures that lurk in the shadows or are waiting to try to take over the world. They are the fatherly and grandfatherly type of men that simply want to show the younger men that there is magic in the world and how to use it. Most of them are wizards or warlocks themselves, not by choice, but by blood. This is why when we heard that there was a local chapter, we were on it. I won't bore you with the details of our discover, except to say that this piece was found in a place where a branch of the Waypoint Club once existed. They are gone now for some reason, but they left behind a few artifacts. This is one of them.
