CHARLES DARWIN AND HIS FIRST LOVE AQUATICA

This bracelet lets you summon Aquatica. She’s been banned from living near or with other mermaids for her crimes against the Mer-people. We are talking about the good kind of mermaid not the dangerous kind. Which there are dangerous ones, as I’m sure you all know. So Aquatica, the poor mermaid, has been playing with human men for a long, long time. The only reason Aquatica was able to walk amongst them was a charm that she stole from a royal mermaid. Of course, had they noticed the charm missing her story might not have gotten so bad. 

Anyway, Aquatica started going to the surface to have ‘fun’ with the human men. She would toy with their emotions, make them fall for her, make them buy her things and then eventually destroy them with heartbreak. Loving a mermaid is a powerful thing, and many of these men ended up committing suicide. Honestly the frequent suicides wasn’t what set the mermaids off. It was that last break-up that started it all. She strung this man along named Charles. Who happened to be Charles Darwin. THE CHARLES DARWIN. 

So Charles was being dumped by Aquatica and they were fighting and she was running out the door when he reached for her accidentally catching her necklace and ripping it off. Now what do think happened when she sprouted a tail in front of him? He lost it, completely freaked out and threw the necklace back at her. She grasps the necklace and regains her legs as fast as the magic works, unsure for the first time what she should do. He was in Cambridge at the time and had met her on a small trip to Hunstanton with a friend visiting family. He was nearly finished with his studies when he met her.

 So anyway, she gets up and asks I’m to calm down. She tells him that it's just science like his grandfather taught him. Of course we know its not the same but he didn’t. She makes up some story about her family history and how they grew tails and were able to conceal them- from working in the water as fishermen. He actually believed this. He was still in love with her, so he promised to keep her secret. He took her to the sea near Hunstanton and kissed her farewell forever. He watched as she dove into the water showing her tail off to him as she swam away. Little did she know another mermaid saw this show and told the others about how she was letting human men see what they were and even places they were known to swim.

So, you all know what Charles went on to do with his life. Aquatica on the other hand was trapped in a damned seashell for punishment for nearly 200 years. We recently discovered her and moved her to a more fashionable piece. One that others could benefit from as well.
