The Order of the Jade Dragon. How can I begin to describe them? They are one of the oldest secret societies to live on Earth. You've likely never heard of them because they exist in full secret. You might be wondering how we ended up finding them. We had to jump through hoops and go to great lengths to finally make contact with them. When we say we are on an investigation, we mean we are on investigation. These are the types of things we are doing.
The Order of the Jade Dragon falls in line behind their leader called the Jade Dragon. That is where the name comes from. The Jade Dragon is not actually a dragon, but he is ancient and immortal wizard, magician, sorcerer, or alchemist-- whatever you want to call him. He has mastered the magic of the ancient orient and he has done so through a very peculiar ritual.
The power that the Jade Dragon experiences comes from the fact that he partakes in rituals called the Sanguis Draconis Consummatio, which literally means the consumption of dragon's blood. In this ritual, he takes communion with the blood of dragons. Keep in mind this blood-taking ritual existed well before the times of Christ, which might be where he got the idea? I'm not really sure. Blood consumption was pretty typical back in those days, but the consumption of dragon blood was rare, particularly because dragons are rare.
The ability to let a dragon of their blood is even rarer. So to experience and actual Sanguis Draconis Consummatio ritual was extremely rare and brought those who partook of the blood incredible and impeccable abilities. That is if they lived to tell about it. Dragon's blood has been known to kill mortals who ingest it. Only those who are of a divine bloodline are able to drink the blood and live. They are the true metaphysical warriors.
The Order of the Jade Dragon has very few members-- as in I can count them on one hand-- who have the ability to drink dragon blood as well. They are called Xiǎolóng, or little dragons. The rest of the Order cannot take the blood without dying. They are taught magic by the Jade Dragon, but will never have the ability to become as powerful as one of the Xiǎolóng and the Xiǎolóng will never be as powerful as the Jade Dragon. He has consumed the blood of all the different types of dragons of the world and has acquired their power and magic.
