This piece holds extracted magic that was taken from one of the miniature staircases that were carved by the Compagnons. The Compagnons were a secret society of skilled workers, but they weren't just trained in a trade, they were also trained in magic. To pass from an apprentice into a master, each initiate had to create what was called a Masterwork. Each Masterwork was to be unique to show off the quality of each initiate's work. Different things were chosen, but many times miniature wooded replicas were created by the Companions. These staircases held not only the workmanship but also extreme white light magic. The staircases that were carved as masterworks were not simply staircases. They were symbols that paid homage to the fact that the leaders of the Compagnons are, in fact, ascended masters that have been alive for millennia. They are very old and they have a vast amount of knowledge under their belt.
In fact, the Bishop of the Compagnons, as he is secretly known, was around in ancient times when the Tower of Babylon was built. This is the reason why they carve stairs to symbolize the ascension they receive into the ethereal realms of enlightenment when going through their secret initiation rituals.
It is also a metaphor for Jacob's ladder, which is a vision that is written in the Bible. This is a spiritual metaphor for the ascent and enlightenment of the soul and so the magic that has been worked into the making of these tiny staircases is one of the ascension of the soul. This doesn't mean that you will be able to ascend into Heaven in your bodily form. That is a serious matter and reserved for very few. Rather, this means that your soul will ascend in knowledge to incorporate the knowledge that is found in Heaven.
The very presence of Heaven will be replicated within your subconscious. You will be able to manifest the knowledge and the magic of places like the Crystal Pyramid, the Heaven Mansions of White Light Magic, the Crystal Sphinx, the 24 Thrones of the Elders, the Throne of God, the Ark of the Covenant, the Holy Grail, the Crystal Seas, the Holy of Holies, and many other places that are divine and sacred. How you use this piece and what powers you choose to bring are entirely up to you, but I've pretty much given you the type of magic and knowledge that this piece can bring you.
