We don’t offer many dark pieces, but this piece is one of them. I’ll be 100% honest with you, this piece is not innately evil in and of itself, but the forces on Earth that have used this piece have rendered it dark. In all actuality, it a very mysterious, dual type of magic. We got this piece as the Black Bazaar, but it originally comes from a group of sorcerers who are loosely affiliated and call themselves the Order of the Chalice.
You might be thinking that you have heard about the magic of the Holy Grail a million and one times. This may or may not be true, but this is something entirely different. This is a different chalice entirely. I’m not sure how long you (the reader) have been with us. If you’ve been with us for a while then you probably remember me going (at some point) about how there has to be a balance of power with all things. Thus, this piece is not about the Holy Grail. Rather, it is about a relic that is called the Dark Grail.
The Dark Grail has been created with Satanic powers in an attempt to make a mockery of the Holy Grail, which is the chalice that Jesus and his disciples drank out of during the Eucharist. This Grail-- created with the divine wisdom that was given to Satan while he was still an angel in Heaven-- holds the same kinds of powers as the Holy Grail. It is used each year to commemorate the day of what they call the Great Descent. According to their version of the story, this is the day the Satan left Heaven to reign supreme over his own realm, apart from God and his so-called tyrannical rule and his decision to elevate humanity over even the highest class of angels.
On this day, the Dark Grail is used to drink human blood. This blood comes from sacrifices-- willing and unwilling-- and is used to fill the Chalice again and again until all of the Arch-demons have drunk of the blood. It is told that this blood contains Satanic blood. In addition to consuming of the blood, items are made with this blood. They are soaked in the blood that sits in the chalice. On the third day, they rise from the chalice. These pieces hold the white light knowledge that Lucifer Morningstar held prior to his fall. This knowledge is then used by demons and Satan to entice humans to the dark side, the way he tempted Jesus in the desert.
So, as I have said-- this piece is no inherently evil, despite being used for evil. The Order of the Chalice received the piece for supplying sacrifices for the rituals I described above. How they ended up losing the piece, I have no idea. This piece does not hold dark or light magic. It holds knowledge and intention magic. You will use it however you want to.
