We have venture across many places in search of many different kinds of magic. I must say that we came across this one by surprise. We were never on a hunt to find anything to do with witches, but it just so happened that we came across it anyway. We found this piece that last time that we were physically in Europe. I say physically because many times we travel there astrally. It's cheaper and much easier, but some things can only be accomplished in the physical form. This particular time we had an interest in Russia, but before traveling there we found ourselves in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. It is the largest holiday resort town on the Yorkshire coast, but we were not there for a vacation. Rather, we had been summoned by one Adley Starling.
Adley Starling wanted nothing of modern Scarborough. Rather, he is a descendant of one of the original founders of Scarborough, himself a 12 Century Scarborian. At a young age, Adley took to studying Latin and mysticism. In fact, he was obsessed with it. By the time he reached his late 30s, Adley had managed to create immortality for himelf, which has allowed him to live on Earth all of 9 Centuries and part of his tenth. His reputation as the Finder proceeds him wherever he might lead. This is because once he acquired his immortality, Adley Starling left the lazy town of Scarborough and began traveling the world in search of the most powerful relics known to man. If he could not acquire them, he simply transferred the energy o such relics into another piece. He started his own collection and he has many very powerful items. The item that is up for purchase is an item that we found on an investigation that we went on with Adley Starling.
As you have probably guessed, the reason why we were summoned by Adley in the first place was to embark upon an investigation. This investigation took us to the thick of the woods in Germany. That is, we traveled to the Black Forest. Now, if you want to find magic and things undiscovered they are sure to be found in the Black Forest. We set out upon a journey that took us to a place called the Tempel der Hexi, which in English means the Temple of the Hag. The temple was hidden among the thick evergreen forest. On the outside of the temple, there were inscriptions and strange markings. However, they were familiar to Adley who ha spent his 900-ish years of living dedicated to refining his magic.
He was able to navigate the carvings of the temple which are an ancient spell that prohibit those who are not meant to enter from entering. Once inside, we were greeted by nothing more than a hearth with fire and three old hags that sat on archaic wooden chairs. Their skin was flakey and their nails grew weathered and yellow. One of the hags had snow-white hair and piercing black eyes. One had hair as dark as the night and her eyes were all milky white, with no irises. The last hag was the ugliest. Only one of her eyes worked. The other was pasted shut and was filled with puss. She had stringy, silver locks that fell to her shoulder. They were all decrepit and ugly looking. Merely looking at them could make you think you were in some sort of horror movie. Except, nobody said cut and their presence was very heavy. Although Adley had never before found himself in the presence of the Hags, they knew who he was and they called him out by name. They spoke in unison, hissing like snakes.
Witches-- Adley Starling, why have you come?
Adley-- To inquire of your presence, but surely you are real. So then, Hags. I ask you this. Can you grant me magic that will let me have your knowledge? I am the one they call the Finder.
Witches-- We know who you are Adley Starling. Your name precedes you and the Hags see everything. There is nothing that happens of which we are not aware of. we have prepared knowledge for you and your guests. What is it that you desire to know?
Adley-- Everything.
Witches-- Very Well, step forward Adley Starling and hold out your hand.
At this, the hags produced a book. On the front of the book, there was a human eye, presumably, the missing eye of the had with only one. The book was bound in human velum and the pages written in human blood. The hags chanted over the book a few times and it opened up to a specific page. I do not claim to know what the page says, because it was written in the language of the dead. Adley held out his hand and the had with the dark hair and milky eyes cut him open with one swift movement of her long, razor-sharp fingernails. She clenched his fist and his blood began streaming onto the book. There was a sound like moaning and rising of smoke and out of the smoke came a most brilliant and gorgeous piece. This is the piece that we are offering. We call it the Eye of the Witch because it connects those who use it to the three ancient hags who are found in the woods. These hags hold the universal knowledge of witches. All magic that any witch has ever created has passed through the eyes of the Hags, as they are the eldest and most powerful witches on the planet.
For accompanying him on the investigation, Adley allowed us to keep the original. He made a copy for himself. When using this piece you can create your own magic and spells. They will be created for you by the hags. When using this piece you will write on a piece of blank white paper with a red pen. Alternatively, you could use blood, but the red pen is easier. You will write down what spell you want to cast or what magic you wish to create. You will then either prick your finger and allow it to drop on the paper, or spit on the paper. Fold it up and burn it. This will send the message of what you want to create to the Hags and they will create it for you. This piece has been known to create immortality and even to heal some magic maladies. It just depends on whether or not the hags find you worthy. Other than that they will grant anything that you ask for. There is nothing that they cannot grant, for they see all magic and they know all magic. This is the Witch's Eye and it shall grant what you ask for.
This piece is a beautiful sterling silver ring that gleams forth with hints of red and green!
