This piece will give you a serpent familiar that only exists in spiritual form. You will send your serpent fourth after telling it what type of knowledge you most desire. Then, the serpent will travel to the tree of knowledge where it will wrap it scaly body around the branch of the tree and eat the fruit of the knowledge that you desire. It will digest that fruit of knowledge and the serpent will come back and deliver it to you. This includes knowledge just for the sake of having it. It also includes knowledge for the sake of manifesting divine Magic, white light magic, dual Magic, or any other type of magic that you crave.
